Acquiring a Handicap

• You can get a handicap through most local public golf clubs without being a member. Or through GHIN/Gap:

Sign up through GHIN.com or gapgolf.org (Use GAP as the organization). Each user has an email address associated with their profile in order to log in and post scores. The GHIN Mobile App is extremely useful for posting scores and checking handicaps.

• You need 5 rounds within the past year to get a handicap index, but 10 rounds are  recommended.

• NOTE: Your handicap at the time of entry may differ from the handicap used the day of the tournament.

** It is very important to post scores the day of play because weather and course conditions can affect your handicap. **
